Other comments – It was viewed as an encouraging sign that the Chief Constable
takes a keen interest in CPA matters. One respondent stated a belief that the way
religion is approached by the service does show a bias toward Christianity. Further
concerns were raised about religion being within the workplace at all, with one
respondent believing policing should be an entirely secular activity, with faith practice
belonging at home. Another respondent supported this view suggesting religion
should be a private matter, although the organisation should still show an awareness
and appreciation of people’s religious views.
