Following the conclusion of CC Maggie Blyth’s time as the National Police Chiefs' Council portfolio lead for Police Chaplaincy, we are thrilled to announce that Deputy Chief Constable Ben Snuggs from Thames Valley Police will be taking on this role moving forward.
DCC Ben Snuggs will collaborate closely with the National Police Chaplain, the Chair of Police Chaplaincy, our Board of Trustees, and colleagues from policing and partner organizations to support the further development, implementation, and enhancement of chaplaincy services.
As a person of faith, this position holds personal significance for Ben.
“I am pleased to be taking on the portfolio lead for chaplaincy and can see how much has been accomplished in readiness for the season that police chaplaincy is moving into. Last month I was able to join with trustees from Police Chaplaincy UK and hear about the strategic objectives for chaplaincy that will be shared across all forces in March. I look forward to supporting the continued expansion of the wellbeing support for all colleagues through the strategic delivery and enhanced strategies of multifaith chaplaincy across the police service.”
DCC Ben Snuggs KPM
