Revd Helen Arnold is Lead Chaplain for Thames Valley Police. She took up this role in July 2018 and joined the Board of Trustees for PCUK at that time.
Helen has been a follower of PCUK for a number of years, attending all of its conferences with much satisfaction.
Helen began her Ordained ministry in the Church of England in Newcastle upon Tyne in 2007, where she joined police chaplaincy as a volunteer alongside her church ministry, as well as in Cambridgeshire police while a college chaplain.
Having trained in social work, delivered management training, and worked in Mental Health prior to ordination, she brings a variety of professional experience to police chaplaincy.
Helen says: The Chaplaincy team in TVP has grown to about 30 members, with a good representation of different faiths now included. I am delighted to have the wealth of such a diverse team of some highly skilled pastors, who offer their time and unstinting commitment to the police. We recognise the debt we owe to our colleagues who daily put themselves at risk and suffer a number of hardships in carrying out their duties to keep our communities safe.
As such, I am proud that we can offer our attention and care to them in return.
