MBE for long‑serving Police Chaplain in Northumbria

We are pleased to share that the Revd Canon Glyn Evans, a long‑serving Police Chaplain with Northumbria Police, has been appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE).

The MBE recognises outstanding service and commitment across areas such as public service, community work, and volunteering. Glyn’s award reflects his longstanding contribution to the community, including his dedicated ministry alongside police officers and staff.

Glyn has served as a Police Chaplain for nearly 25 years. He currently serves as Interim Lead Chaplain for Northumbria Police, offering steady support and helping sustain the chaplaincy’s presence.
