Why are there elections again?

The Constitution of PCUK states that 1/3rd of the Board must stand down each year. Trustees are elected for a 3yr term of office and can re-stand at the end if the wish.

How many meetings are there?

We have 4 meetings a year and these are mainly virtual but if in person they are normally attached to a conference.

What do I need to do for my nomination

Fill out the form via the link above with the names of 2 members who are prepared to Nominate and Second you and then provide a short election address as to why you would be a good person to be elected. We would LOVE this to be a video and you could record that on your phone in selfie mode, or get someone to do it for you. You could also hold a virtual (Teams or Zoom etc) meeting with yourself and record that or you could ask your police comms team to help. It doesn't need to be long. If you don't want to record a video a written bio is fine.

When are elections?

If we need to go to election these will happen online and this is the timeline:

June 7th Nominations and applications close with prospective candidates Biographies submitted and displayed on PCUK Website shortly after.

June 20th Voting Opens online prior to start of conference.

June 25th voting closes at the end of the day.

June 26th Announcement of voting of elected officers at conference and via email.

Timings coincide with our 'Hope Conference' to help voting turn out but those not attending conference will have the same opportunity to vote.

Do I have to attend conference to stand?

No, anyone can stand, we are coinciding elections and conference to boost votes but candidates do not need to be at conference however the Board will meet after the close of conference on the Weds for a brief 'get to know you session' but you can join us virtually if you aren't at Conference​​​​​​​​​​
